Next Steps

Before you begin it is important that you seek advice from professionals.

When you’ve found a Court and a private apartment or bungalow that you like, the first thing to consider is the property purchase price and Service Charge.

If you make an offer on an available property and it is accepted by the vendor, that property is immediately removed from the market allowing time for you to progress any related property sale and make the necessary financial arrangements.

The process of purchasing a property means that you will appoint a Solicitor or an authorised Conveyancer to act on your behalf and they will advise you on all of the legal issues involved in buying a property.

During this period, one of Retirement Security’s Services Managers will visit you to discuss your needs. Our experience is that many older people are entitled to significant financial benefits which we are happy to help them claim.

The staff at the Courts and at Retirement Security’s Service Office are widely experienced and available to advise and assist you every step of the way. Do not hesitate to contact us with any queries you might have with regard to the services available, arrangements for purchase and provision for the ongoing service charge.
