At Retirement Security, we are dedicated to providing our clients with transparency and clarity. This is why when any of our retirement properties are sold, the seller pays a transfer premium of up to 3% of the sales price to the freeholder, Retirement Security Limited (RSL). RSL does not charge ground rents and does not charge for its estate agency services. There is a monthly service charge payable by owners which includes one and a half hours domestic assistance per week. Further information is available from the Court Manager.
About Osborne Court
Osborne Court is a development of five individually designed lodges comprising 40, spacious, two bedroom apartments. The Court lodges are named after some of the original architects who worked on the unique designs of Port Sunlight Village in the late 19th and early 20th Centuries. Lockwood lodge houses the Court’s comfortable Owners’ lounge and restaurant.
Osborne Court was built in 1999. The original leases were granted for 125 years but the actual period available will depend on the current date and whether any past owner has extended the lease.
Osbornbe Court has no management agreement with Retirement Security Limited (RSL). RSL is the freeholder and, when apartments at Osborne Court are sold the transfer fee stipulated in the lease terms is applicable. As at all other courts, this is, at most, 3% of the selling price with no VAT payable.
It should be noted that Courts that are managed by other agents are not covered by RSL’s ARCO membership.
